Images in Facebook Ads – New Mistake to Avoid
Images in Facebook ads are one of the elements setting Facebook apart from other forms of online advertising.
But if you use an image Facebook reviewers are taught to reject, you’ll find adding images to in Facebook ads to be a frustrating experience. Here’s a recent example of an image that got rejected by Facebook reviewers, as we tested a new campaign in the women’s shoe niche.

This image got rejected by Facebook reviewers. To see why, read on below
Why This Facebook Advertising Image Got Rejected
Regular readers of our blog will know we commonly recommend using text in the image of each Facebook ad, to get more attention and increase Click-Thru-Rate (CTR). This lowers costs and often increases the Return on Investment (ROI).
Text we use in images generally gets approved every time. However in this case we made the text look like a link inside the image. It’s pretty clear to us that in this instance anyway, Facebook did not like that.
So as a general rule we no longer intentionally make text in Facebook ad images look like a link (although it was worth a try!).
