How to Use Name Squeeze Pages with Facebook Advertising

sq How to Use Name Squeeze Pages with Facebook AdvertisingOne of the best ways to make Facebook advertising work is to build a list of people who are interested in your product or service.

This is an approved method by Facebook. And they actually encourage this method of turning Facebook traffic into a source of profitable revenue for you, over the long term. Building a list in Facebook is much easier than trying to go for a direct sale. Building a list with Facebook advertising cuts your risk significantly, because you can give something away for free, give a credit in an account or a coupon to encourage signup.

Whereas, if you went for direct sale you would be betting everything that you could get the Facebook user to take the action you want them to take – in one shot. But if not – they would be gone and you have wasted your money you spent on the click.

Let’s take a look at the various types of name squeeze pages that are approved by Facebook advertising. This first example shows a project where I was giving away a free e-book on Farmville, in exchange for the Facebook user’s e-mail address.

The second example shows a very effective page that can be approved by Facebook in certain markets it has a warning at the top to encourage the person to opt in and gain information on the other side of the name squeeze page.

This third example is an extremely simple page that simply has an opt-in box.

It’s important to note that all these examples have a privacy policy presented clearly to the user. This is very important because Facebook advertising requires that you explicitly tell people what your privacy policy is.

Try these various types and name squeeze pages with Facebook advertising and remember that you may have to add some text to the top of some of these examples I showed you to answer a question that you have asked in your Facebook ad.

Remember that Facebook wants you to give value to their users a positive experience more than anything else. And you can often do this by asking a question in your ad. Then presenting the answer on the landing page and also have the name squeeze box on the landing page. In this way you’re achieving two goals; you’re giving the Facebook user added value and you’re building your list – where you can market to the Facebook user you’ve gained to Facebook advertising over a period of time.

Great squeeze pages, but how/where do you put them up on facebook?

  2. FB Ad Advisors says:

Hello Craig, you just use the URL to your squeeze page (hosted on your own site or elsewhere) as your URL for your Facebook ad. Takes two seconds to do!
You don’t have to use a Facebook page.

Facebook reviewers will typically approve pages such as the ones I have shown you – they are within the Facebook terms of service for advertisers.

  3. Forgive the butt in, but i just came across an answer to a question that may not have been asked:

how/where do you put them up on facebook?

I was searching for the same thing but in the context of how do I host a lead capture page on facebook. The answer i found is make a Fan page, on the Welcome tab, put your offer (Lead magnet offer) and a lead capture form.

Facebook squeeze pages can go viral through the “like” feature so you can(theoretically) get more visibility and leads for your advertising dollars.

    Have a great day :)
